Global Game Jam is organized simultaneously with the world every year, and it starts on January 31 this year. This year GGJ is preparing to host ATOM and developers with the cooperation of ODTÜ Teknokent and TOGED.
Globe Game Jam was organized in 2009 for the first time and was held simultaneously in many centers of the World, including Turkey. GGJ will take place between January 31 and February 2, 2020, this year. GGJ ATOM is one of the biggest centers of international organizations.
Game developers, who will come together within the scope of GGJ ATOM, will exhibit their skills and knowledge simultaneously with developers from all over the world at the METU Cultural Convention Center (KKM) on January 31 - February 1 - February 2, 2020.
The global theme will be determined simultaneously.
There will be 265 developers from all over Turkey in GGJ ATOM. Game designers, programmers, visual artists, musicians, and sound developers will develop over the 50 games together.
The developers will be together for 48 hours and start to develop their games together with their teams by considering game ideas according to the theme announced on the first day.
In addition to developing a playable game in GGJ, it is aimed that developers gain communication and sharing skills by working with other developers.
While Global Game Jam is the world’s largest game development marathon, it continues to break records every year as one of the largest computing development events.
GGJ Atom was one of the most populous centers since the first day it was organized, and it takes the role of Turkey Regional Organizer for the last four years. Every year application numbers are increasing. Record number application was made this year to GGJ
